Ipsy bag review! February 2014

One of the most popular subscription boxes around today is  Ipsy! For good reason, for just $10 a month you will receive 5 deluxe (sometime full sized) beauty products all zipped up in a cute little make-up bag. For the most part there are no "foil" packets and they have some really great brands! I took all this into consideration before decided on a service and i am so glad that i picked Ipsy!

So today i thought i would share with you what i received in my Ipsy bag, good the "hmm" and the "meh?" Now Please forgive the photographs, i am working with a 100 dollar Walmart camera that i have had for years, one day though i will upgrade to this  (a girl can dream right?)

Included in my bag;
 * Zoya Nail polish in Odette (orchid maroon cream
Full Size = $9.00
I am very happy to receive another Zoya nail polish, because they are amazing! With it ringing in at  $9 retail your bag has already almost paid for itself!

.14 of an Ounce = around $8.00
(the full size is .30 and costs $16)
Again Pop Beauty is another great brand and this lip gloss just help prove it! Creamy and shine and not sticky. It is very pigmented, sits well on the lips and smells sort of vanilla-ish.

Full Size = 3.99
This product is rather a "meh" item for me, because i don't wear false lashes. Ever. So these will just get set aside until i get sick of them cluttering up my bathroom counter and i toss them in the bin.

0.5 of an Ounce = $3.75
(the full size is 1.0 ounces and costs $7.49)
I was (still am) skeptical of this, first off i have never heard of the brand before, and second i just don't like to put new/never heard of things on my face. I don't want to risk and even bigger breakout. But with a little research i learned that utla stocks this! (so its not just some doggy cream off the street) I will be giving it a try but i don't think anything will replace my Origins version. (which is amazing!)

Full Size = $3.99
Even though my eyes are not brown, I am kinda grateful that i got this pallet. Some of the other colors were a bit much for me (think blue and purple). although they are not really my favorite shades of brown, these are more of an orange brown, im still going to give this whirl and see how i get on with them.

BAG TOTAL : $28.73

Overall i am happy with my bag this month!
Tell me, what did you get in yours?

Free Printable LDS Word Art " Doubt your doubts before your doubt your faith"

Sundays are usually busy days for my house hold, between all the extra meetings and the regular service and the fact that we visit family every Sunday. I get little time to sit and create like i use to, which makes me sad but i am grateful for all my families chance to serve and be involved in our ward.
Today though, magic happened. I found my self with 2 hours of  "mommy time"!  Hooray!
So i sat down and decided to get on board the chalkboard word art band wagon. This particular quote is from President Uchtdorf 's general conference talk  ( which you can watch or read here ) "Come, Join with Us"  given in Oct of 2013. I know, I know this quote has been done to death, but while scouring the interwebs for a free chalkboard version, i found that there wasn't one. No offence to anyone who makes their living selling word art..... there is NO way i was paying 15 dollars for one 8 x10 print.
Viola! Here is, my gift to you to copy and paste and print and use.
(just please don't sell this, or pass it off as your own)

Hey there!

I know I know, yet another blog from me. The past 3 have been what i would call..... flops, stressful, unrealistic, and to be honest whiny. The difference this one is going to be actually from me, the mom who loves pinterest way to much, who had good days and bad, who dreams of far off places and chocolate.
So hello! From me, Jen. Girl who needs an outlet. .... woman? girl? ......mother?  eh take your pick. Im not in this for money or fame or even to see how many followers i can get. I am by no means a top-writer, and my grammar and spelling just might kill some of you grammar Nazis. So fair warning.
(oops, to much nerd in the first post?.... nah)

( photo from http://www.helpingwritersbecomeauthors.com/2012/01/why-i-hate-grammar-nazis-and-why-i-am.html)

Im in this so share my creativity, and to have a place where i can *figuratively* step out in to the world and talk to other people. So if that sounds good to you, WELCOME! Im glad you're here are we can be friends!
